If you're in Parkland, WA, and craving a culinary adventure, look no further than Velvet's Big Easy. This hidden gem serves up some of the most delicious Creole and Cajun food you’ll ever taste! To celebrate my wife's birthday, we decided to indulge in a feast, and we were not disappointed. My wife opted for the Vegan Creole, a dish that was bursting with flavor and creativity. I couldn't resist the Red Beans & Rice paired with Andouille sausage, which was hearty and comforting. The Velvet's Fried Chicken Wings was crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection! We also tried the Stuffed Vegan Mushroom Dish, which was a delightful surprise, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to flavor and freshness. Each dish was crafted with care and passion, making our dining experience truly memorable. What made our visit even more special was the warm hospitality. Chef Brenda took the time to stop by our table and chat, which added a personal touch to our experience. Her son provided outstanding service, ensuring we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Velvet's Big Easy is undoubtedly a local treasure that I highly recommend. The food is super delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is exceptional. We will definitely be back to savor more of their amazing dishes!

Service was memorable! Staff was super friendly and accommodating! We will definitely be back! Food was Scrumptious, and reminded me of my trip to New Orleans when I was 16. Everything was delicious, even their shrimp creole which I was hesitant about because I don’t typically like Shrimp, but it surprised me! And I ate 3-4 shrimp with it. Their beignets are delicious and the Chicken & Sausage Jumbalaya was something to write mama back home about!!! This place is Amazing! I would love to see them do some live music! :D

The BEST restaurant I have been to in the area. The staff is so professional and personal can’t wait to come back. Had the shrimp and grits and it is definitely the best you can get in the PNW.

After reading the reviews...had to try this place. It did not disappoint. It starts when you pull into the parking lot and see this very cool building by itself. A larger older house redone with a super nice vibe. Stepping inside reveals a comfortable very nice interior conducive to relaxed dining. Our server was great. Very helpful, pleasant and prompt. I asked for a surprise for my dinner and go two delicious pork chops, mack n cheese and collard greens. All very tasty as were the meals of my dining companions. Ms. Millie (please forgive if wrong) joined us after dinner (I wanted to know her story) and was kind enough to share her most interesting story as well as how much she enjoys what she is doing now...cooking! And, oh my, does she ever! Check it out.

When you walk into the restaurant, you were instantly taken back to New Orleans. The service is incredible. If you get the opportunity, please talk to Miss Miller. She is a beautiful woman and a wonderful cook. We had a variety of food and loved every bite. We will definitely be back.

Velvet’s Big Easy is a gem. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, and you can tell it’s made from scratch with care and expertise. The fried peach pie was incredible and a true testament to the love and skill that goes into the food here. I’m already looking forward to going back and exploring more of the menu like the fried bologna. We’ve lived here for going on 5 years, and this is the first time I’ve seen this southern classic on any menu here! The only thing I was missing was the holy trinity in the gumbo, but honestly, everything else made up for it. Is it expensive? For the area, but this isn’t just another spot cutting corners—there aren’t many places around where the chef is hand-making 100 fried peach pies a week. We’re incredibly fortunate to have something this special in our area. If you appreciate great food, craftsmanship, and southern hospitality, Velvet’s Big Easy is worth every penny.
